Job Description

Help students build the skills they need to learn, participate, and thrive! Cross Country Education is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT) in Waldorf, MD , to provide individualized therapy and collaborate with school teams and families to support students’ independence, participation, and success.

Position Overview

• Evaluate elementary students using formal and informal occupational therapy assessments to identify needs related to fine motor development, sensory processing, self-help skills, functional mobility, and activities of daily living.
• Develop and implement individualized OT goals and services through the IEP/IFSP process, including determining appropriate therapy frequency, intensity, accommodations, and equipment needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, related-service providers, and school teams to support student participation, independence, and access to the educational environment.
• Document evaluations, therapy progress, student data, and Medicaid billing while maintaining required records and meeting applicable service timelines.

Qualifications 

• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (MOT) or equivalent
• Current Maryland Occupational Therapy License
• Experience with school-based occupational therapy, including assessments, IEP development, multidisciplinary collaboration, family consultation, and Medicaid documentation preferred
